Resilience is a word that people like to throw around as if it signifies far less than it does. Often people add an element of whimsy to it by saying things like “We’ll bounce back.” or grabbing a platitude like “We’ll be stronger than before.” What isn’t often discussed is that resilience takes consistent, committed, and very hard work. Resilience is yet another one of life’s many journeys that is infinitely more about the path itself than any hypothetical destination.

As a nod to all we are all experiencing right now and to highlight the theme of #lovedtogether that we have seen throughout this COVID-19 experience, here’s a little something one of our authors wrote. We hope it brings a smile and reminds you of the journey we all sometimes take, regardless of the storm, until we remember that it is together we are better, together we are stronger, together we are beautiful, and together we are unstoppable. While this poem is specific to our current reality, we have found that focusing on the role love takes on in any difficult situation helps to remind us of what really matters.
